UniversalBots urgently request support
UniversalBots from Oskar-Maria-Graf-Gymnasium Neufahrn Qualify for the European Finals of the World Robot Olympiad
Neufahrn near Freising, July 2025 – The UniversalBots team from Oskar-Maria-Graf-Gymnasium (OMG) Neufahrn has qualified for the European finals of the World Robot Olympiad (WRO) in Slovenia.
Team members Tristan Logemann, Nikolas Rosenberg, and Anna Boyko impressed in the “Future Innovators” category with their AI-powered robot Respondo: an innovative system designed for use in emergency response scenarios, such as accident sites or disaster areas. It autonomously navigates to patients, analyzes the situation, and—thanks to artificial intelligence—can directly interact with those affected, representing a remarkable advancement in the field of first aid robotics.
With their concept, the UniversalBots prevailed against strong competition at the German national finals and are now looking forward to competing against the best young inventors from across Europe.
To participate in the competition, the team requires financial support, as there is still a shortfall in funding for travel expenses and registration fees.
“We have registered the team for now and must trust that we’ll somehow manage to cover the costs,” said Antje Hanusch, head of the robotics elective course at OMG.
